COVID-19 Resources and Policies

Below you will find useful from CareMaxx and the Center for Disease Control and Prevention related to COVID-19 (Coronavirus).

BE LEADERS IN THE PREVENTION OF COVID-19, PROTECT OUR COMMUNITY

Team,

With the rise in COVID-19 cases, WEARING A MASK AND FOLLOWING CAREGIVER PROTOCOLS IS NOW MORE IMPORTANT THAN EVER. Doing so will protect you and your family, our clients and their families, your coworkers and their families, and the community at large.....ESPECIALLY our seniors and those with disabilities, who are very vulnerable to COVID-19. To prevent the spread of COVID-19, it must be a community effort. The thought that "my client doesn't have COVID-19" gives us a reason to not wear masks is not the appropriate way to look at the situation. A person that tests negative today could very well test positive tomorrow.

-The CareMaxx Team

Mask Policy

Wear your mask at all times during your shifts. More specifically, mask on when you arrive at your shift and the mask stays on until you leave.

  • When eating during your shift, please make sure that to social distance and remain at least 6 feet away from your client or their family given that your mask will be off during that period of time.
  • Please also remember that all clients have been provided with cloth masks. Please ask your clients to wear a mask when you are in close proximity to them, especially when you are providing “hands-on” personal care.

Please continue to follow our Caregiver Protocols such as frequent handwashing and disinfecting frequently touched surfaces upon entering a client's home.

Mask Usage for Clients

Masks are being distributed to all clients. Please request that each client wear one whenever you are going to be within six feet and/or providing direct hand-on personal care. This not only helps protect them but will be an additional measure to protect you and your family. This request will be communicated to all clients and their families so we can all do our part to protect each other.

Caregiver Protocols

Click the link above to learn more about our caregiver protocols as it relates to frequent handwashing, disinfecting frequently touched surfaces, and other activities to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Supplies are available at the office

As always, if you need masks or other supplies, please arrange a time with the office to pick them up. We have disinfectant cleaner, gloves, and hand sanitizer at your disposal. In addition, if you feel you need more than a regular cloth mask, such as a KN95 mask or a facemask, please just ask.

ALWAYS follow Universal Precautions.

Non-Mandatory COVID-19 Vaccine Policy for Staff

Please review the document at the link above regarding our Non-Mandatory COVID-19 vaccine policy for all employees.

Our agency:

1. Does not require the COVID-19 vaccination for our employees.

2. Does not require an employee to disclose his/her vaccination status, whether that be to our agency or a client/family member.

As such, our agency has a non-mandatory COVID-19 vaccine policy for all employees. In other words, receiving the vaccine is voluntary for employees and is highly encouraged by the agency.

COVID-19 Antibody Treatment

If you test positive for COVID-19, you may be eligible to have the monoclonal antibody treatment which is free and of no cost to you. Click the link above for more information.
